  4. In the Dock, on iPhone, in a tab
  5. Rounded square, or as is
  6. Make them all at oncemacOS, iOS and Website folders, side by side.

What it does

Turn one image into a macOS .icns and an Xcode icon set (ten sizes from 16 to 1024), a 1024 iOS icon and a website favicon.

The macOS icon can take the rounded square shape and size of the system’s app icons, with a little shadow, or fill the whole square as is.

A logo on a transparent background can get a margin and a white or black background; an image that isn’t square is cropped around the subject or fitted whole.

The website set has favicon.ico, the PNG sizes for phones and a site.webmanifest. Everything goes into a folder next to the image.

Install it

Plugins aren’t part of the Pop download. Install this one when you need it.

1From Settings

In Pop’s Settings › Actions, find “Make App Icon” under Plugins at the top and click Install. It downloads from Pop’s GitHub release in a few seconds and works right away, without a restart.

2Or from the ring

Open All Actions on the ring and search for “Make App Icon”. Plugins that aren’t installed are listed after your actions: click it to install, and it runs right away if it can handle what you selected.

3Then use it your way

Put it on the ring in Settings › Ring, give it a shortcut, or run it from Shortcuts and scripts with its link:

pop://run?plugin=appIcon

Uninstall it from the same list when you no longer need it: the plugin and its settings are deleted. After Pop updates, installed plugins are updated with it, and with iCloud sync on, what you install syncs to your other Macs.
